I don’t know about you but I’d rather be in hidden in God, then be found in a place where God is not.

I went through a lot of pain in 2023, something that was so stable in my eyes had crumbled down. Days turned into a relentless cycle of picking up the scattered bricks, attempting to rebuild what once stood strong. Each time I thought I had succeeded, it would collapse again, leaving me with fresh scars and scratches. In the face of profound pain, while many turn to immoralities like alcohol, drugs, or sexual connections to numb the ache, I humbled myself before the throne of God. Whenever worry gripped me, I enveloped myself in worship. In moments of confusion, I silently whispered in my heart, “Lord, I don’t understand, but I trust you.”

There is a purpose in the pain that pushes you closer to God. While some pray for the pain to be taken away, what if you ask Jesus to walk through the fire with you? One thing about my God, he will protect you, he will ensure that not a single hair on your head is burned in the flames.

Sadness that brings you closer to God is better than happiness that takes you away from Him. Be grateful for the wounds that push you toward God.

When God chooses to hide you for a time, He is preparing you for a greater purpose. Stay put on the preparation for the season you are praying for and be discerning of the people you allow in your surroundings.

Psalms 23

At the tender age of 5-6 years old, my mother practically forced me to learn this chapter (in French)😂 So at my grown age, every word is engraved in my heart and mind. For that I will forever be grateful.

Psalms 23 basically tells us that the Lord is all one needs. His Fatherly care provided all that is essential to this life. Then when you accept that truth, peace, comfort and eternal rest will welcome you.

I just want to make Jesus proud ☹️

To be incredibly transparent with you, I’ve been grappling with feelings of comparison over the past few weeks. This struggle extends into my relationships and my journey with Christ. As I write this, tears stream down my face. Throughout this year, God has opened my eyes and heart to numerous revelations. I’ve spent days in prayer, fasted more times than I can count, read the entire Bible, let go of something profoundly meaningful to me, and surrendered my will to God. Yet, I grapple with questions: Is that enough? Am I truly forgiven? Am I making Jesus proud?

I just want to make Jesus proud. In the face of pressure, in the face of “trying to be like,” in the face of trying to impress, I want to make Him proud. When I am all alone, He is there. When I have no one to talk to, He is there. Sometimes, I yearn for Him to enter my room, embrace me tightly, and never let go. My heart feels so broken and fragile, I crave so fondly for Him to pour His peace, strength, and joy into me. While I have no desire to return to the worldly ways, this journey proves to be challenging yet so rewarding. Each day, I fall in love with Jesus more than yesterday.
