Meet Carmaïssa
Blessings Angels!
My name is Carmaïssa Etienne. Welcome to Inked by Christ! I am a child of God desiring to choose Him every day. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in 2017 and was baptized (water immersion) in 2023. Writing is a passion of mine gifted to me by God. I enjoy it so much that expressing myself through writing comes naturally. So why not use that gift to glorify God and serve his Kingdom? It is a privilege to share the Gospel through my writing and continuously seek His guidance with every word.
About Inked by Christ
After many attempts at postponing this ministry, I decided to let go and let God do his work in me and this blog. Inked by Christ is a faith and lifestyle blog for anyone who is new to Christ, anyone who already has a relationship with Him, and everyone in between.
“You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” – 2 Corinthians 3:3 NIV
As mentioned before, writing is the gift that God has graced me with. Although I have many plans in my heart, it is the Lord’s plan that prevails. I am just trusting him in how he will use me with my writing skills. Nonetheless, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 3:3, everything that will be written here will be written by Christ. Everything will be Inked by Christ.
Excerpt from Commentary
In 2 Corinthians 3:3, ink is a symbol of the Spirit. The Spirit of the living God is not an instrument, like a pen for writing, but the very element, like the ink, with which the apostles minister Christ as the content for the writing of living letters that convey Christ. The writer of this letter is not the Spirit of God; the writer is the apostles. The Spirit of the living God is the “ink,” the element, the essence of the writing. This means that the Spirit of the living God is the element with which the letter is written. The ministry of the apostles is to write letters with the life-giving Spirit as the essence. The more the apostles minister to you, the more they put into you the element of the life-giving Spirit.
I am a letter from Christ. My life tells a story of the goodness and grace of God. It is the same for everybody.
Did you know that you are the only Bible some people will ever read? What do people read from your life? What does your life say about Jesus? Pray that God makes you a vessel of His choosing so that you serve Him as He sees fit. Pray that your life be an open letter to all who cross your path so that you may be a good and faithful servant to your Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit writes the character of the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart if you willingly submit to His leading.
Through this blog, I pray that you see the goodness and faithfulness of God in my life. May Christ speak to you in whatever season you are in. Let him lead you to the promised land. For He alone deserves the glory!
WELCOME TO INKED BY CHRIST!
